I can't decide.
The Team Dynamics (second one) is cheaper by about $100/rim, Braids are 2 lbs lighter. Plus I kinda like the look of the Braids better, but I'm not sure if it is enough to justify the $400 cost difference.
EDIT: Weight is actually wrong from what I was looking at earlier. The Braids are 17.9 lbs and the Team Dynamics are 17.3. So at this point it is on looks (which the Braid has a bit of an edge there) but I don't think the edge is enough to justify the cost.
EDIT EDIT: Thanks to Chevy's choice to ship all 2012 Sonics with Alloy rims, I have discovered that these weigh pretty much exactly the same as my factory rims. But they're an inch wider and 2 inches taller.

Hey, if it's us spending your money, what's an extra $400?

I don't usually nitpick, but I believe those are wheels. Rims are the lip on wheels to which the tires mount.
That being said, when it comes to quality wheels, lighter is always better. The Braids better to me as well.

FYI rims are just the barrels, you're talking about wheels. I personally love Braids, but I think they're overkill for the street unless you can justify the price.

I say go for the lighter more expensive ones, 800 bucks for a set of wheels is a pretty nice price. Plus they do look pretty nice.

How light are the heavier wheels?I've read that the law of diminishing returns sets in pretty early for unsprung mass, so if they're decently light, the extra price and weight loss might not be worth it.
As far as looks, they look pretty close to the same, and who cares what they look like when they're moving?

LOL, I've had that discussion as well!

IMO I don't give a damn, they're both white, either way you choose its perfect.

Hard to say, because they likely measure different rim sizes and crap besides. Probably looking around 20 lbs each, which is still lighter than stock (which aren't heavy by any means)

Well it would be $800 for the cheaper ones, $1200 for the expensive ones, not counting shipping

OH MY. I just realized I was looking at the wrong weights. Good call there!

HURR DURR. The Team Dynamics rims are actually LIGHTER than the Braids. Wow did I F that up.

Yeah I would just go with the cheaper ones. Wheels over a 1000 are a bit too expensive(no matter how nice), for me at least. Plus now that weights aren't that different, the cheaper ones look even better. Plus they don't look half bad.

Splitting hairs here. They are wheels, not rims. Just one of my analities. :)
